THE MOOD DISORDERS SERVICE AT DARTMOUTH SEEKS STUDY PARTICIPANTS

The Mood Disorders Service at Dartmouth is screening interested people (ages 18-70) for studies of novel treatments for depression that have not responded to standard antidepressant medications. NAMI NH AND GEISEL SCHOOL OF MEDICINE SEEK FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS OF SMOKERS

Do you have a friend or family member who smokes? Want to learn effective ways to help them quit? NAMI NH is partnering with Dartmouth College to conduct a new study of a brief training program for supporters. Care2Quit? is a one-time phone coaching session to help you learn ways to help your friend or family member use a free web-based program to help them quit. MOOD DISORDER CLINIC AT GEISEL SCHOOL OF MEDICINE SEEKS PARTICIPANTS WITH DEPRESSION WHO ARE TAKING ANTIDEPRESSANT MEDICATIONS

We are screening interested people (ages 21-70) with depression or a history of depression who are currently taking antidepressant medications for a non-treatment study. This is a neuroimaging study comparing the functional magnetic resonance (fMRI) brain images of people who have or have not been helped by taking antidepressants to learn if treatment resistance may be identified by fMRI. MOOD DISORDER CLINIC AT GEISEL SCHOOL OF MEDICINE SEEKS HEALTHY, ADULT WOMEN FOR STUDY OF EFFECTS OF rTMS ON COGNITIVE AND EMOTION REGULATION

We are conducting a study of the effects of non-invasive brain stimulation (transcranial magnetic stimulation [TMS]) on the regulation of mood and cognition. Participants will be healthy, right-handed women (ages 18-55) who are not pregnant, have no history of alcohol or drug abuse, and do not have clinically significant depression, anxiety, or other psychiatric problems. NEUROPSYCHIATRIC ASSOCIATES/THE WOODSTOCK RESEARCH CENTER SEEKS STUDY PARTICIPANTS

Established in 1996, Neuropsychiatric Associates is an independent research center located in Woodstock Vermont. The Woodstock Research Center has been created as a part of Neuropsychiatric Associates to provide a clearer picture of our purpose. The Woodstock Research Center is dedicated to conducting any type of research that will provide valuable information to help us to better understand diseases and how to treat them. Though the majority of our studies are sponsored by pharmaceutical companies, The Woodstock Research Center values all treatments including alternative methods. NEUROPSYCHIATRY AT DHMC RECRUITING SUBJECTS FOR TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY (TBI)

The section of neuropsychiatry at DHMC is recruiting subjects for a research study funded by the Department of Defense in an effort to understand the effects of psychological and biomechanics trauma on the brain. Military personnel and recent veterans are especially needed. Study participants must be able to travel to the medical center for 1 to 2 visits. Participants must be between 18 and 65 years of age and be willing and physically able to undergo an MRI scan. Certain medications and health conditions may exclude you. PARTICIPATE IN A RESEARCH STUDY FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PSYCHOLOGICAL & BRAIN SCIENCES AT DARTMOUTH COLLEGE

OBESITY AND DEPRESSION TREATMENT RESEARCH PROGRAM FOR WOMEN

Participation: Do you have symptoms of depression? Are you feeling down, depressed, or hopeless? Have you lost interest in activities you used to enjoy? Program: An 11 week HAES/ACT Therapy Group, led by a DHMC psychologist, with a small group of other women with similar concerns. Sessions last two hours, and meet at DHMC, at a time convenient for you. 3 study assessment visits, at DHMC, to obtain height and weight and complete questionnaires and an interview with a psychologist. DEPRESSION TREATMENT STUDY

Seeking participants 18-65 years old experiencing a major depressive episode who have been taking medication(s) that are not helping enough, and are willing to take an approved antidepressant and an investigational medication or placebo. Participation entails 14 visits over 23-26 weeks. All study-related medications, office visits and examinations will be provided to you at no cost. You may receive compensation for your time. DEPRESSION RESEARCH

Are you currently taking medications for depression? Take part in a research study using imaging (MRI) to evaluate response to medication. Participants are 21-70 years old, generally healthy and either no longer depressed or still depressed. Time commitment will be up to six hours. You may receive compensation for your time. AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDER RESEARCH

The Department of Psychiatry at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth is seeking families that have a child diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder to participate in a study of family relationships. The purpose of this study is to evaluate a new, online measure designed to understand connections between family members. If you decide to participate, you will be asked to bring your family to one of our two locations: Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH (level 5D), or Hanover Psychiatry in Hanover, NH. You and your family will be asked to fill out a few questionnaires about your family. All family members living in your household who are above 8 years of age will be asked to participate.
