NEW HAMPSHIRE CENTER FOR EXCELLENCE

The New Hampshire Center for Excellence is a resource that provides technical assistance, disseminates data and information, and promotes knowledge transfer in support of communities, practitioners, policymakers, and other stakeholders working to address alcohol and other drug misuse and related consequences throughout New Hampshire. NH Recovery Center Opens in Manchester

"The Manchester Recovery Community Center, on the ground floor of a Market Street building, has already opened its doors. The center will be staffed largely by volunteers and funded through private grants and donations. But even though the building is open, the center won’t launch full-scale programming, like counsel sessions, until mid-July. It plans to offer peer coaching and telephone recovery support services, which is a check-in call made once a week to someone who has recently left treatment. The end goal is to have a statewide addiction phone number people can call if they need assistance or recovery support."

    • The Addiction Treatment Program (DHMC-ATP) provides a comprehensive evaluation service and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for adults. We offer state-of-the-art evaluation and treatment, and referral services for people seeking help for substance use and related disorders. Services include comprehensive evaluation, individual outpatient therapy, co-occurring treatment, psychiatric evaluation and pharmacology. The program also conducts studies for which it seeks participants who can receive treatment without cost.
    • The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Perinatal Addiction Treatment Program (PATP) uses the harm reduction model for treatment of all their pregnant and postpartum patients. This program was started to influence the growing problem of Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) in NH and VT.

    • Groups is a community of physicians, counselors and recovering opiate users whom you can rely on for affordable and convenient help. Everything we do is based on the best medical science. Our treatment community provides medication (Suboxone) and weekly therapy sessions with other people recovering from opiates.     • The Habit OPCO West Lebanon Treatment Center has been located in Staples-Johnson's Center at 254 Plainfield Rd., Unit 4, West Lebanon, New Hampshire 03784 since 2004. In February 2014, it was bought by CRC Health Group, a company based out of California. The center uses the disease model for treatment. They offer daily medication-assisted treatment (MAT) using methadone and Suboxone (buprenorphine). Habit OPCO does not use methadone or buprenorphine for pain management. The center uses New Hampshire, Vermont, Federal, and corporate guidelines to set best practice policies. Habit OPCO is a medication dispensary and not a prescription provider with currently 330 New Hampshire and Vermont residents utilizing their services. Patients who participate in this structured treatment are monitored daily and multiple protocols are in place to support their continued recovery.

The Farnum Center understands how important it is for you to get the help you need right away; that is why we have a new screening process called Open Access. Open Access is a walk in service available Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 11:00am. A “Recovery Home” is many things. Fundamentally, a Recovery Home is a residential property where the members of the home agree to maintain a drug and alcohol free environment. Additionally, we strive to create a family-like atmosphere in our homes—one where our members are nurtured and energized by others who share common experiences, struggles, values, and goals.
